Zachariah was an angel of the Lord and Castiel's superior. He shows Dean Winchester in "It's a Terrible Life" that hunting is in his blood. He appears again in "The Monster at the End of This Book" to tell Chuck Shurley that he's a prophet chosen by the Lord. Zachariah is revealed to want the apocalypse to occur, because he thinks Heaven will easily win. This was revealed in Lucifer Rising. He is a bit wary of humans, describing them as "smelly things". Despite this he has proven himself to know a great more about humanity than his subordinates, and even acts much more human, with a sharp wit and cheerful exterior.

Family

  • God (Father)
  • Archangels (Leaders)
  • Angels (Brothers and sisters)
  • Castiel (Pupil)
  • Anna and Uriel (Same garrison)

Demonstrated powers

  • Teleportation - Zachariah can teleport himself along with other people to any location around the Globe by using teleportation.
  • Angelic Possession -
  • Super Strength - Zachariah's strength highly surpasses that of a human. Zachariah's angelic strength seems to also surpass most his angel brethren (this could be highly due to the fact that Zachariah is a hybrid of Seraphim and Cherubim). Zachariah displayed some extent of his angelic strength in Dark Side of the Moon, and again in Point of No Return. In Point of No Return, Sam attempted to slay Zachariah with an angel killing blade; however, Sam's attempt failed miserably. After Sam's failure to kill Zachariah, Zachariah turned and grabbed Sam and threw him across the room with tremendous force.
  • Resurrection - Zachariah can raise people from the dead; however, Zachariah never got the chance prove this. Instead, Zachariah told Chuck that if he were to every kill himself that he would only bring him back to life.
  • Time Manipulation - Zachariah can bend/manipulate time; he proved this in The End. Zachariah decided to show Dean what the future of 2014 would look like if he continued to deny Michael. He did this by "beaming" (teleporting) Dean to the future.

Death

Zachariah met his fate trying to redeem himself. Being constantly laughed at because he cannot catch the Winchesters, he resurrects Adam, the Winchester's 3rd brother, because he was chosen to be the temporary vessel for Michael. However, Sam and Dean confront Zachariah moments before Adam consents. Zachariah easily takes out Sam, but gets worked up over Dean's remarks. Dean conceals an Angel Blade and stabs Zachariah, killing him.
