| “ | First of all, vampires are nothing like they are in the movies. The sunlight and dead man's blood can stun them, but a stake to the heart won't kill them. The only way is a good old decapitation. | ” |
Vampires are a race of blood-drinking supernatural creatures that were once human.
Characteristics[]
Vampires live forever, and many of them are hundreds of years old, and some of them are even several thousand years old. They also mate for life. Their diet is based strictly on blood, though they can eat and drink human food and drink liquor and other liquids if they want. Although they prefer human blood and fresh human blood to function, humans aren't the only animals that they can drink from. Vampires must keep their victims alive or else their blood becomes toxic to them. However, some vampires will live off of donated blood bags because they don't want to kill a living being. Vampires can only be killed by beheading, where they leave behind a corpse that can be examined to find their teeth.
Unlike the vampires of the Main Universe, the vampires of the Monster Club Universe appear to have a less human appearance, specifically a more pronounced brow ridge. The vampires also appear to have more superhuman abilities than their counterparts, as seen by them leaping through the air and appearing and disappearing from large areas in a blink of an eye. In addition, they are referred to as being undead and have a weakness to holy water, something that their counterparts were specifically stated to lack.

The blood of the Alpha Vampire flows through the veins of every vampire, affording them many supernatural abilities.

History[]
The Winchesters[]
In Cast Your Fate to the Wind, a vampire cult named Il Soarta searches for the Gem of Ursitoare which can predict the fate of its holder. Diana reveals that the cult struck a bargain with the Romanian fate gods, the Ursitoare, for the amulet. Its use was sacred until the cult leader attempted to escape his destiny, leading to Il Soarta's loss of the amulet, which then fell into the possession of the Men of Letters. Following a vision foretelling John Winchester's demise, the cult besieges the Men of Letters Clubhouse. Carlos Cervantez exterminates two vampires outside by dousing them with holy water using his long hair, while Mary eliminates another seven in the tunnels. The Il Soarta chieftain invades the vault where John is concealed with his mother. However, John intentionally electrocutes himself to death, poisoning the vampire with dead man's blood as it feeds on him. Weakened by the tainted blood, the vampire leader is slain by Mary, who, with Millie's assistance, manages to revive John.
