what do u think they are going to do with this lucifer storyline?

cause as much as it feels forced for his return, i feel they are setting up for either a redemption arc or him being the new ruler of the empty. They truly have an opportunity to have him with jacks angel grace fight the empty in a battle to see who is truly stronger. What do u all think?
