I mean, sure he gained a tremendous amount of power from The Mark, but I've actually seen people in this very wikia, he could smite archangels and leviathans. Based on what, the fact that the highest beings he's ever been shown to smite are black eyed demons. I've seen someone actually argue, that he could beat God. Cain can only take regular Angels, he wouldn't be able to hold his own against a Seraph. I'm sorry, but comparing Cain to the archangels and leviathan, is ridiculous. I'm sorry but Cain wasn't all that.
