  • This is the first episode since Swan Song to feature two archangels in one episode.
  • As of this episode, Jack is the fifth known character to get the anti-possession tattoo with Sam and Dean Winchester, Kevin and Linda Tran being the first four.
  • This is the second episode to feature an alternate Archangel, with The End (Season 5) being the first one.
  • The CW's official summary for the episode grammatically incorrectly states "he sets his sights set on Jack". It also misspells actor Keith Szarabajka as Keith Szarbajka.

  • This is the second time that a character (Asmodeus) has said "Make Hell great again", a reference to the campaign slogan of the current President of the United States, Donald Trump, "Make America Great Again". This phrase is similar to the slogan used by former Republican President, Ronald Reagan, "Let's Make America Great Again". Crowley previously said this in Season 11's penultimate episode, We Happy Few.
  • The way Lucifer killed the hunter is similar to the way he killed Baldur in the Season 5 episode, Hammer of the Gods.

Quotes

You should be dead.

Jack: Maybe I'm not worth all this.
Sam: Your mom thought you were. So did Cas. So do I.

Okay, that's it. I'm done, alright? 'Cause he's not God, he's not Cas, he's not Simba. He's the freaking Devil!

If I'm right... and it comes to killing you... I'll be the one to do it.
