Alpha Discussion

Considering it is a monster, and was even one of the monsters mentioned to be captured and interrogated by Crowley, then it is presumed they have an Alpha. What puzzles me is that they arise independently from each other, and they are all typically humans who consumed human flesh. So is their alpha basically just the first human who succumbed to cannibalism, or was it fashioned entirely by Eve from scratch, as a template for any cannibals to arise? Or did she goad and twist a human to cannibalize and thus become the first Wendigo (pretty much how Lucifer twisted a woman that will become Lilith)?

Also, how about cannibals who are found elsewhere in the world? Do they become Wendigos as well, or a related but a different form of monster?FTWinchester (talk) 15:58, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

Um, the Alpha Wendigo was never seen/mentioned, so it would be it categorically inappropriate to make mention of it on the page. There are two theories--Eve created each Alpha personally, or she converted humans into them. -- ImperiexSeed, 1:14 PM, December 2nd 2012
In regards to cannibals found around the world I think it's like what Dean said "You eat enough of it you become this less than human thing." It's simply a question of how much is enough besides maybe other certain conditons have to be met.MrAnonymous (talk) 18:23, December 2, 2012 (UTC)MrAnonymous
I made no absolute mention of any Alpha Wendigo in any of the pages. I was merely opening a discussion on how an alpha wendigo (if it has one), could have been made. FTWinchester (talk) 18:45, December 2, 2012 (UTC)
AND, I made no absolute mention of you doing that.. I was simply saying, no, it shouldn't be mentioned on the page. -- ImperiexSeed, 8:01 PM, December 3rd 2012
It was quite misleading and uncalled for as your opening statement, then. FTWinchester (talk) 02:08, December 4, 2012 (UTC)
I wouldn't change what I said--the Alpha Wendigo hasn't been entangled in the series, so it's completely necessary for me to say not to talk about it on a page of the Supernatural wiki. -- ImperiexSeed, 9:14 PM, December 3rd 2012

unique creatures

Is the Wendigo a monster? it seems very different to other kinds, there is there orgin aswell, I'm thinking that for special creatures like this, Amazons and Shtriga should go into a 'unique' category of creatures.

Two others that come to mind are Rhakasha seen in 'everybody loves a clown' being described as a demon yet seemingly more like monsters or a spirit, if ir were a demon, its white eyes would have to factor.

The Crocotta in 'long distance call' is described as a demon isn't it? and like Rhakasha live in filthy conditions, but it lso seems more monster like, another example are the shadow demons the Daeva from shadow, seemingly demons but with non typical demon charteristics, such as a constant yet invisible form of a ragged cloaked being with claws, which reminds me of shtriga, but Daeva also do not seem to posess and are dispersed by light.

Wendigo I think, like the above are not spirit, moster or demon for definate, so do they deserve a category??

You need to understand, sometimes, the word "demon", could simply mean, a "evil", "malevolent" thing. So, in this case, it's NOT a demon, and it's description of "demon" merely describes its tendencies. Also, Wendigo and the Shtriga are both monsters. And the Amazons are merely Deity-spawns. -- ImperiexSeed, 7:16 PM, March 4th 2014

GIF for the Wendigo cameo in Survival of the Fittest

Could somebody more experienced create a GIF, of the wendigo cameo appearance from Survival of the Fittest? --Mgdodl (talk) 15:10, June 21, 2019 (UTC)

The being that was running around in the shadow was a wendigo, after Castiel left Dean and it weren't just Gorilla-wolves there. The "Featured Supernatural Beings" section of "Survival of the Fittest" even says that a wendigo made a cameo appearance. --Mgdodl (talk) 17:43, June 21, 2019 (UTC)

  • Really??? Don't know where that came from. Dean specifically stated that he was surrounded by Gorilla-wolves when he met Cas again. That's where that term comes from actually. I think that that's a mistake someone made.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 19:02, June 21, 2019 (UTC)
  • Heya :) At first I also wasn’t sure if a Wendigo actually did appear in the season 7 finale. But while I was re-watching the last few minutes of it, there was a split second where you can see a shadow behind Dean rushing by in a very high speed similar to the one seen in the Wendigo Episode. Maybe you remember the scene when Sam was reviewing the video of Tommy that he sent to his sister Haley. Sam even showed it to Dean frame by frame stating that it was something moving really fast. Well, that shadow looks really similar to the one we see in the forementioned scene in the season 7 finale. I mean it could only be some sort of "fan service" for the more observent fans but looking at the both shadows I can't deny the similarity. Therefore if you would ask me I would approve a cameo appearance. McGillicuddy (talk) 21:19, June 21, 2019 (UTC)
    • Frankly it seems speculative as only the Gorilla-wolves are confirmed to have appeared in that scene by dialogue. And we don't really know anything about those creatures.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 21:26, June 21, 2019 (UTC)
