Magic Practioner Edit

Enough with the pedantry. If she devised a spell, then she obviously counts as a magic practioner, and a sophisticated one at that. cc WarGrowlmon18. SonOfEve (talk) 21:35, December 27, 2017 (UTC)

It is my understanding that Dean was the one that cast the spell, and she simply found it. Reading a book on magic does not make one a magic user. I may not be remembering it right though I will admit that. I'll rewatch the EP later on netflix. but if she did not cast it then no she would not be mafic practitioner. --ThomasNealy (talk) 22:23, December 27, 2017 (UTC)

But just the fact that she was able to make a devil's trap don't make her a magic practitioner? --Doctor49 (talk) 22:46, December 27, 2017 (UTC)

She's a hunter. They use devil's traps!!! And she didn't create that spell, she found it. She said that the only thing she could find was a location spell for the Blade that she couldn't complete due to missing an ingredient.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 00:14, December 28, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, the fact that she's a hunter implies that she known even more magic rituals than just a devil's trap and the fact of she being a hunter dosen't change that she did known how to make a devil's trap :v --Doctor49 (talk) 00:37, December 28, 2017 (UTC)

There is big difference between using things like devil's traps and using magic. A devil's trap is no different then using salt or dead man's blood. While some hunters have shown that they are willing to use magic just as many have shown that they consider all people that use magic to be witches and kill them. Being a hunter does not make one a magic practitioner. Can you see someone like Gordon using magic? He tried to kill Sam just because he had powers. I don't consider traps to be magic any more then salt and iron are. --ThomasNealy (talk) 00:45, December 28, 2017 (UTC)

Iron, borax, salt, gold, dead man's blood, etc are materials with magic properties, these materials are menipulated by regular humans without knowledge of the supernatural with many other purposes than hunt, now to make a devil's trap a person must have the knowledge of the supernatural world, and how to trap demons using nothing more than a big magic sigil in the celling, the roof, bullets, handcuffs, etc. Gordon was specialized on vampires but if he had encountered a demon he must had used a devil's trap, exorcism ritual, Gordon hated Sam because he had "natural" powers, it's like the British Men of Letters, they abominate supernatural creatures but use magic to end them. --Doctor49 (talk) 01:04, December 28, 2017 (UTC)

We can't list her as a magic practitioner just because she's a hunter. Consensus is that she doesn't qualify and you can't keep changing that because you disagree.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 02:14, December 28, 2017 (UTC)

I was not changing it, i just realocated the category on Tara's page because the discution was still going on and i was aready cleaning up the page, and it's not just the fact that she's a hunter, and the hunter's page list them as magic practitioners and even that if is a consensus dosen't make sense, read my coments above. Doctor49 (talk) 20:07, December 28, 2017 (UTC)
