Holy fire can kill any type/class of angel

Admins, in "Free To Be You And Me", Castiel states, "No angel can pass or move through the flames or he dies". Taking into account his previous strict statement regarding enochian sigil applies to archangels, I believe it's fair to assert holy fire can kill any type/class of angel unexemptedly, and pages to be edited appropriately to reflect such. AU Michael couldn't neutralize the barrier, and Lucifer only passed the threshold after diminishing the circle. -- Thedarkenrahl, 1:06 AM, December 31st, 2019

• That comment seems to have been retconned out by later episodes given that both Michael's survived being burned by it. Crowley also stated that holy fire couldn't hold Lucifer for long, it wasn't just that he diminished them.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 06:59, December 31, 2019 (UTC)
  • But Michael or any archangel never bypassed the circle, which is specifically what Castiel said, so possibly there's magic in it. And Lucifer still diminished the flames before leaving. -- Thedarkenrahl, 1:06 AM, December 31st, 2019
    • That seemed to be more like if any angel got burned by the flames. Putting up a circle meant that they couldn't cross without getting burned. In Stairway to Heaven we saw the effect on a regular angel that got burned by the flames and I think Dean threatened to burn Balthazar with the fire to get him to cooperate in The Third Man. Its just too speculative to include on the page and we don't allow speculation on here. • Yeah, I made a slight error, but it wasn't marginal, for the angel couldn't touch the flames without passing or moving through it. It's speculative to say Lucifer and Michael are immune to holy fire when neither of them have disqualified Cas' statement. -- Thedarkenrahl, 1:57 PM, December 31st, 2019
