Was Alastair ever called Hell's Grand Torturer[]

In which episode, was he called Hell's Grand Torturer or was the title made up ?--Mgdodl (talk) 17:59, August 5, 2019 (UTC)

  • I think it might've been made up based on Ruby's description of him.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 19:04, August 14, 2019 (UTC)

He was also described as Picasso with a knife.[[User:Twilight Despair 5|]] ([[The God of Creation]]) (talk) 16:32, August 15, 2019 (UTC)

Change name to Hell's Toturers?[]

Seeing the discussion above, I don't think Alastair was ever called Hell's Grand Torturer. Maybe this page should be renamed to include general torturer's of hell? Especially now with Belphegor being some kind of torturer. Thetwindler (talk) 19:34, October 16, 2019 (UTC)

  • Well if that's true, we'd have to include Dean on the page since he was a torturer in Hell for ten years Hell time.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 20:13, October 16, 2019 (UTC)
  • I honestly don't remember if when i created this page i actually heard Alastair being called that in the series or i just read some places in this wiki and assumed this was an official term, i searched for Hell's Grand Torturer in the Super-Wiki since they have transcripts for the episodes, but i didn't found any mention of this, just "the grand inquisitor downstairs", so i think that the name should be changed to "Hell's Torturers" too, and we can take off the categories "demons/high-tier demons" since as Dean said, the demons in hell encourage human souls to torture each other as a part of their corruption, and besides Alastair, Dean and Belphegor there were other torturers in hell like Lilith, Sam Winchester imposter (he tortured Bobby psicologicaly), i think Astaroth, etc. Doctor49 (talk) 00:06, October 17, 2019 (UTC)

Asmodeus and Lilith[]

Are Asmodeus and Lilith really Hell's Torturer, because I can't remember that it was mentioned that Lilith and Asmodeus (Asmodeus only tortured Gabriel, more is not known) tortured souls or something else ?--Mgdodl (talk) 14:57, November 24, 2019 (UTC)

None of this article was mentioned as one. As you can read here, not even the creator of this page knows where the term comes from (Anonyme TƤt (talk) 14:59, November 24, 2019 (UTC))

I agree with Mgdol that they should be removed. Only Alastair, Dean and Belphegor are confirmed as Hell's Torturers. The other two simply know how to torture. Though I suppose we could add Viggo since it really was his job.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 17:41, November 24, 2019 (UTC)

Rename to Hell's Master Torturers[]

As stated in The Essential Supernatural, Alastair is (actually) Hell's master torturer.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.8.87.251 (talk • contribs)

Well, the page had different names in the past, now it has the name for occupation demons and souls have in Hell, like Dean Winchester who tortured souls. Generally, I don't disagree, but I'm not sure if it would merit to solely use the page for Alastair's position--Gabriel417 (talk) 07:56, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

  • To be frankly honest, I've never thought that this page was necessary in the first place.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 11:30, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

There's really no need to rename it, i think this way is way more fitting considering that there have been many lesser torturers in the franchise and the page would be richer/more relevant if we included all of them in it. But since it is stated in the book i think it is worth mentioning in a section of the page that Alastair really was the master torturer in Hell.
