When was it ever stated in the show that this sigil weakened Lucifer's power? They never explained what it was for, unless I missed something. EmpyreanSmoke (talk) 01:25, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

  • They didn't but they didn't give any sort of explanation for the sigil either. However, watch closely during the exorcism and you'll see (as I said on the page) that Lucifer uses his telekinesis on everyone in the room. Now Lucifer is very powerfully telekinetic as we all know. Despite that, while his power worked, it just bent everyone backwards a little. Didn't even knock them over. Hence the sigil weakened him significantly.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 01:58, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

Btw, this page needs a picture of the Sigil. Zane T 69 (talk) 02:03, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

  • Feel free to add one. I have no way of doing that.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 02:08, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

I don't know what it looks like and I haven't even seen the episode. Zane T 69 (talk) 03:18, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

  • Wow!!! Seriously?!?!?!?! This was like the biggest episode of the season yet!!! How could you miss that?!?!?!? Basically this sigil was used in a scene where the Winchesters, Cas, Crowley and Rowena teamed up together to exorcise Lucifer out of the President of the United States and lock him back in the Cage. See Reimprisonment of Lucifer page for more details. Written by yours truly of course!!! Basically before exorcising Lucifer using a hyperbolic pulse generator, a device created by the British Men of Letters that forces demons or angels from their vessels and gotten from Arthur Ketch, Sam used this sigil which was on the back of the bathroom door. It had no apparent effect and I suppose it could be part of the generator's exorcism but while Sam used the generator to exorcise him, Lucifer attempted to throw everyone telekinetically. They bent backwards a bit but were otherwise unharmed. Given how powerful Lucifer is, its a pretty good guess to think this depowered him a good bit. It worked either way: Lucifer was kicked out of the President in a white smoke cloud (like a demon but white instead of black) and sent back to the Cage through a floor vent by Rowena's spell.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 04:03, December 24, 2016 (UTC)
  • PS: the scene is on YouTube so you can look it up for yourself or I can post a link if you want.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 04:05, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

I didn't have the time to watch it. I did pick up some information on the wiki though; most of what you typed actually, but thanks anyway. I could probably watch the episode on a website I know, I will eventually. Zane T 69 (talk) 05:00, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

  • Website's are iffy for watching these shows. I know one where I can do it too but again, iffy. I only do that if I'm desperate. Here's the clip of the exorcism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFQRdPVgoEA. There's a shot of the sigil on the door around 45 to 50 seconds in when Sam comes in the room and activates it. Maybe you can at least tell me if you think my assessment of the sigil's use is correct??? That device is a hyperbolic pulse generator created by the British Men of Letters because they find exorcisms to be too unreliable. Works on both demons and angels. The point is to get Luci out of the President so that Rowena's spell can send him back to the Cage. Its repeatedly stated that the reverse spell doesn't work if Luci is in a vessel.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 05:06, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

I agree that it does depower angels. Zane T 69 (talk) 16:15, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

  • Thanks buddy!!! That was SO COOL though that exorcism!!! I got the feeling we haven't seen the end of the threat from Lucifer though. Last season, even when locked in the Cage, he could communicate through Mental Projection and Dream Walking due to the Cage being damaged by the release of the Darkness. Presumably he can still do that and potentially be able to use that to guide his child to continue his work.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) 16:18, December 24, 2016 (UTC)
