As part of Crowley's search for the Angel Tablet, one of these demons possessed Ann Morton in hopes of using her knowledge to find one of Lucifer's Crypts. The demon is eventually captured by Castiel, tortured for information and then smote.
Three of these demons visited Wendy Rice in hopes of learning the location of one of Lucifer's Crypts from her research. Upon seeing that Sam and Dean Winchester were with Wendy, two of the tablet hunters attacked them while the third demon stole Wendy's map and escaped after seeing the fight going on. When Dean went to kill him with the demon-killing knife, one of the tablet hunters possessed Wendy while the tablet hunter that didn't flee gained the upper hand on Sam and began beating him. Before the demon could cause too much harm to Sam, Castiel appeared and smote the demon after capturing the one possessing Wendy.
After capturing the demon possessing Wendy, Castiel bound it in a devil's trap in hopes of learning anything it knew about the location of the angel tablet. Tied to a chair, the demon taunted the Winchesters about Wendy's thoughts about them. Under the influence of Naomi, Castiel was uncharacteristically violent as he tortured the demon with his angel blade for information. After Castiel stabs his angel blade into both of Wendy's hands, the demon finally breaks and tells the Winchesters and Castiel that the demons have a hostage at the Murray Hotel that knows the locations of all of Lucifer's Crypts. Sam asks the demon about the translation parchment that Castiel lied about being after, surprising the demon as it has no idea what they are talking about. As the demon goes to tell the Winchesters about the angel tablet, Castiel kills it and Wendy with his angel blade on Naomi's orders.
The demon that escaped used Wendy's map and searched the site marked on it "top to bottom." However, the site was empty and upon returning to the Murray Hotel, the demon found Meg's Captors dead and Meg gone. Nervous, the demon called Crowley to inform him of the bad news. As the demon talked to Crowley through the phone, Crowley appeared behind him and confirmed all of the demons failures. Crowley then killed the demon with an angel blade, intending to finish the job himself.
Outside of Lucifer's Crypt, two more demons armed with baseball bats attacked Meg and Sam. Sam quickly blocked the female's swing, held the bat aside and stabbed her with the demon-killing knife. The male demon engaged Meg who managed to wrestle the bat from him and hit the demon in the face with the end of it, knocking him down. Before the demon could recover, Meg slammed her knee into his face, knocking him to the ground and stunning him. Meg then stabbed the demon in the chest with her angel blade, killing him.
