Supernatural Wiki talk:Admin Noticeboard

Announcement: Admins logging off, unless in the chat and seeing another active admin there, will disable editing for unregistered users/IPs/A Fandom User via the wiki features function in case there isn't another active admin to defend the wiki. Active admins will, unless they're logging off soon, re-enable the feature to take on their "shift" for want of a better term. Naturally these admins need to re-secure the wiki before logging off.

Editing question

If i have a difference of opinion with another editor and we both happen to be partially correct in our editing decisions,  will we both be warned/blocked if we  revert each other's edits more than 3 times? It's just general question for now, but i have  created pages that had portions removed or altered by another editor,  where said portions were not incorrect and  were (i  felt) pertinent, but  the other editor's opinion was that it should be changed or removed. I rarely revert in such a case without asking for rationale first because edit wars aren't my thing, but that's just me. i'm just wondering.Reka12452 (talk) 23:40, December 2, 2016 (UTC)

Drop down menu

Info Boxs need to be wider.

I have noticed that on multiple info box templates that they are not wide enough and shift one or more letter down aline. I will admit that it could be on my side but I have a rather big and wide monitor so I don't think the issue is on my end.  Examples are the Organization template, Creatures template, and the Items template. I don't know I copied the list from the dutch page. It seemed to work on theirs. Regarding the inter-language links, I don't think there was any error in your markup. Based on this bug report that's still listed as open, I suspect the redline comes up because the Wikis you are linking to are still new and hence their pages haven't been cached such that the link is automatically recognised as valid. In other words, give it a month or so and it should fix itself, hopefully. Best of luck on your RfB - I'll close it two weeks from the opening date as usual. Permission for a new template

I would like permission to add a new template. It is in my sandbox right nowUser:ThomasNealy/sandbox. It would replace the div box that is on the episode pages now. I think it's a good template. I don't know the quote specifically, but shouldn't it be 'There was something about being there that felt pure.'? 

Also, the second sentence has inconsistent capital letters: 'This episode summary is an official CW press release. It may contain errors. Is it a Wika error?

I seem to be having an issue where a new edit is not rendering on the site until the next edit pushes it through. It is just me or is this a wikia thing. I checked my browser and stuff and can't find anything wrong on my end. --ThomasNealy (talk) 07:11, December 27, 2017 (UTC)

I can see the changes on any edit mode or preview but not on the actual page until a new edit happens. it is not every page either. Episode pages, talk pages, and character pages are what are causing the issue. It is really strange. --ThomasNealy (talk) 15:52, December 27, 2017 (UTC)

User talk:Steven Britton and User talk:Sjb6759 Steven responded to a talk page as Sjb6759 using the Steven account. given the issue with Sjb6759 and the edit war and talk page issue. I just find it all very suspicious that Sj gets warned to to break the 3R rule then a new account pops up reverts the page again and responds to a talk message as his second edit with the same message Sj would leave later after Steve deleted the his. You can add this user to the list too. User:Joseph3519 All three are same user SjB -Steven Joseph Britton . No one makes an account and has the first edit be responding to a talk page on consensus and say the same thing and last two account. BigBad page

Well this isn't technically an error or a broken rule so much as neglecting to update a page.

Season 13 is long over and the BigBad page still hasn't been updated, and I think it's time to come to a conclusion about who's what now that the season's finished.

Saying the "D" word

The one that the show loves to use, and I don't mean damn. The one that rhymes with "tick".

For some reason, despite the word being used a lot in the show, I can't make any posts that say the word - or even that link to the Leviathan leader's article. I tested this a few times in replies on a blog post and eventually came to this conclusion, as it was consistent.

Why is saying that word disabled here? The show uses it all the time and there's even a character with that name in the show, how are we supposed to refer to him now? KillRoy231 (talk) 03:44, March 9, 2019 (UTC)
