This unnamed man was a clerk at Eagle Pass's General. He was reading about the apocalyptic atrocities in the newspaper. A sick man comes in who is first thought to be a customer, but its turns out he's no sick man but Pestilence. He infects the clerk with a virus, and checks himself into the hospital but it does no good because there was no cure due it being a new disease.
