St. Louis is a major city in Missouri.
Season 1[]
After Sam's friend Zach Warren is framed for murder by a shapeshifter, Sam convinces Dean to visit St. Louis to investigate the murder, convinced that Zach is innocent. The shapeshifter ends up framing Dean for its crimes before he kills it. The shapeshifter's body, in the form of Dean is discovered by the police and he's reported dead. This is the start of Dean's trouble with the police.
Season 2[]
After being arrested for the murder of Karen Giles, Dean is revealed to be alive and its stated that the St. Louis police want him back for the crimes "he" committed there. Detective Peter Sheridan, the real killer, later uses extraditing Dean to St. Louis as an excuse to get him away and murder him to frame him for his crimes. While Detective Diana Ballard is ultimately able to get him cleared of the charges in Baltimore, she lets Dean escape as there's nothing she can do about the St. Louis charges.
Season 7[]
As part of their efforts to frame Sam and Dean and draw them into the open, Leviathan Sam and Leviathan Dean visit Connor's Dinner in St. Louis and slaughter everyone there.
Season 8[]
After getting a call by Portia, the familiar of James Frampton, a police detective turned witch in St. Louis who helped them with a case years before, Sam and Dean return to St. Louis to investigate the murders he has been framed for. Despite their previous adventure in the city and their Leviathan counterparts rampage, they are not recognized, not even when Sam visits the police station disguised as an FBI agent and they solve the case by killing rogue witch Spencer Wallis, the real killer. However, James and Portia are forced to flee the city as the police have built too good a case against James.
As Castiel flees through the Biggerson's in the United States to avoid the angels chasing him, the St. Louis Biggerson's is one of the locations he chooses.
After finding out that Father Simon, the surviving priest from an interesting exorcism resides in the city, Sam and Dean visit his church in hopes of learning exactly what the exorcism was about. Father Simon is able to give them what they need to cure a demon and complete the third trial.
Season 10[]
Sam goes to St. Louis Suicide House
After finding out that he needs Nadia's Codex to crack the Book of the Damned, Sam tracks it to the former Men of Letters chapter house in St. Louis where the Werther Box, which it is stored in, caused all but one member of an entire family to kill themselves and the house to become known as the St. Louis Suicide House. The surviving family member, Suzie, tries to prevent them from reaching the Werther Box and Sam accidentally unleashes its power while trying to disarm it, causing Suzie to kill herself and Sam and Dean to nearly kill themselves as well. However, they manage to disarm and destroy the Werther Box, getting the needed codex in the process.
Season 11[]
In Hell's Angel, after getting the Horn of Joshua, Crowley flees to St. Louis where he is hunted by demons working for Lucifer. Crowley contacts the Winchesters to meet him in the old post office where they discuss their strategy for dealing with Lucifer and the Darkness. From the building roof, the Winchesters and Crowley watch the effects of the Darkness' shockwave into Heaven and realize what she did.
Season 12[]
In LOTUS, Lucifer possesses the Archbishop of St. Louis after his previous vessel, Wallace Parker burned out. The Archbishop's staff discover the possession and attempt an exorcism, leading to Lucifer slaughtering them. The Winchesters arrive in the aftermath to find the staff dead and the Archbishop burned out.

- Despite Dean telling Sam in Unforgiven that one of their dad's rules is to never visit a place they've worked a case twice, they've visited St. Louis several times, the place they've worked the most cases in the entire show. Despite Dean's shapeshifter double's crime spree and their Leviathan duplicates well-known crime spree, no one seems to recognize them when they return, not even the police. This is in contrast to when Sam returned to Bristol, Rhode Island and everyone still remembered him there.
