The seven deadly sins are a group of seven demons that appear in the season three episode "The Magnificent Seven". Despite having a significant role in religion, they are only black-eyed demons, though possess special powers unique to themselves. Because of these powers, they were originally prisoned deep in Hell close to Lilith, unable to get out before the gates of hell were opened at the season two finale. They seem to follow their own agenda after Azazel's death, as Pride is disgusted to to think of Sam Winchester as a leader for a Demonic army.

The Seven Deadly Sins are, like most demons on the show, blacked-eyed demons. They can possess people, as demonstrated in the opening scene in "The Magnificent Seven" when Envy possesses a man who is getting up at night to throw his garbage away, telekinesis, which is seen when Pride creates a minor earthquake that destroys a devil's trap right above him, and most prominently--the ability to influence people to commit each of the seven deadly sins. For examples, a family starves to death in front of a television (Sloth) and Isaac, a hunter, drinks drain cleaner (Greed). Like all demons, the Seven Deadly Sins are presumably invulnerable to all human diseases.
