This unnamed man (1822-1859) was a Vengeful Spirit.
Early Life[]
He served aboard a ship called "The Espírito Santo", but was accused of trying to start a mutiny, so he was executed. The captain who ordered the execution was the man's brother. The body of the sailor was cremated after they cut off his right hand and made into a Hand of Glory.
Season 3[]
Every 37 years the ghost would appear and kill people, who had been responsible for the death of a family member, by drowning them on dry land. To try and stop him, Sam and Dean tried to burn his hand, so they teamed up with Bela, who eventually stole the hand and sold it, but later she herself saw the ghost ship, warning her she was his next victim. In a panic, she returned to Sam and Dean for help. Together they came up with the idea of summoning the spirit of the captain's brother. They did just as the ghost attacked, in fury the ghost turned on his brother, questioning him on how he could do what he did to him. The brother admitted his sorrow, but filled with rage, the ghost attacked him, thus destroying them both as their spirits exploded into water.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Hydrokinesis - He had the power to make people drown even on dry land, materializing water inside his victims to kill them.
- Teleportation - He could appear and disappear with a thought.
- Telekinesis - He could exert force on objects and people without physically interacting with them.
- Super strength - He was strong enough to effortlessly toss Dean through the air with one hand.
