Séance

A séance is a ritual that allows a person or a group of persons to communicate with the dead or other supernatural beings that could not yet manifest physically. The ritual usually requires the presence of at least one psychic, although it could still be successful without one.

A séance has several forms, and each require different objects to facilitate communication. It may require ouija or spirit boards, candles, mats with various runes, an object influenced or made by the supernatural being, among others.

A séance could also summon ghosts. Such séances require different incantations, materials and sigils, depending on the ghost and/or the purpose of summoning them.

A séance performed by a trained psychic could even contact a spirit in Heaven.
