- This is the first episode where the title is taken directly from the bible.
Sam continues to have nightmares of other worlds.
- This time, Sam's nightmare is of a world where he said "yes" to Lucifer. Dean tries and fails to kill Lucifer with the Colt and is then burned to death by Lucifer. The Lucifer of Sam's nightmare wears a white suit like Asmodeus and the Lucifer Dean encountered in The End.
- In a second nightmare, Dean still has the Mark of Cain, is a Knight of Hell and kills Sam with the First Blade.
Sam has been texting Castiel who has not responded.
Sam and Dean's Fish and Wildlife IDs are so old that their pictures are from when the Winchesters are much younger.
- Sam's hairstyle appears to be the same one or close to the hairstyle he had in Season 1.
It is unknown how God brought Lilith back from The Empty.
