Background[]
When maths teacher Stephen Phelps ends up dead and hanging on the school flag poll, the town's sheriff Jody Mills and Sam Winchester, the latter disguised as an FBI agent, approach the principal.
They asked her if the teacher had any issues with the staff, parents or students, though Ramirez was aware of none, and said Stephen Phelps was a popular man whom parents had been known to bake brownies for.
Sam then asked for permission to interview the staff and students and to have access to personnel records. Ramirez allowed it, adding that the culprit needed to be caught and have his insides turned out and strung up.
The grim remark left Sam and Jody surprised. Sam finished the conversation by thanking the principle for being on their side.
