Peter Binsfeld was a german bishop and theologian. He wrote the Classification of Demons.
History[]
Background[]
Some time while he was alive, the Seven Deadly Sins found a way to escape hell and became active on earth. Binsfeld eventually discovered that the seven deadly sins were not simply human vices as previously thought, but were "actual devils".
In 1589, he wrote the book "Classification of Demons", which cataloged information about the ancient demons.
Season 3[]
The Seven Deadly Sins finally reappeared in 2007. Hunters Sam and Dean Winchester, Bobby Singer, Tamara and her husband Isaac hunted these demons without knowing their real identity. Thanks to the "Classification of Demons" written by Bensfield, Bobby succeeds in identifying the seven demons, which allows them to defeat them with a little determination.
