Paul Arthur Dutton is a normal guy in a semi normal town, except he had been having an affair with a woman named Amanda Burns. Amanda happened to be a witch in a neighborhood Coven masquerading as a Book Club.
Background
Season 3
When Paul broke it off with Amanda in an attempt to keep his wife Janet Dutton, she used a Hex Bag spell to kill Janet.
Amanda wasn't done yet, she wanted revenge and hexed him as well. Fortunately for him Sam and Dean arrived just in time to stop him from choking to death on his maggot-infested burger.[1]
