Pastor Jim is a pastor of a church in Blue Earth, Minnesota. He was visited in November, 1983 by John Winchester and Hunter when the former wanted a chance to see his wife, Mary Winchester, again.
Background[]
Prior to November of 1983, Jim became a pastor but became aware of the existence of the supernatural. He was described by Hunter to being who they needed before warning the Winchester to be polite.
When approached by the two, John questioned how Jim had gotten caught up in the paranormal where Jim explained that he became aware when he was nine years old due to his mother placing him and his brother into their car and having it rolled off into a lake in which Jim survived but that his brother drowned and that to keep his insanity in check, he turned to faith and believed in God to remain strong. When John confessed he wanted to see Mary, Jim agreed and sacrificed some of his blood in order to help him.
Although the ritual worked and Mary's spirit briefly appeared to her husband, the hellhound that had been tracking them down replaced Mary before it was stopped, Jim, John and Hunter then came to a conclusion that the markings on the tooth were coordinates.
