History[]
Sam and Dean visited this man in the hospital after one of his kidneys was stolen. He was extremely irritable as a result of his ordeal and let them know that he was in no mood to discuss it with them unless doing so would get his kidney back. However, they finally managed to get him to recall that he was feeding a parking meter when he was jumped from behind. He woke up strapped to a table and in the worst pain imaginable. He blacked out again, and then "woke up screaming, in some no-tell motel, in a bathtub full of ice."
Sam later tells Dean that he spoke to "Mr. Giggles' doctor" and found out that his incisions had been sewn up with silk sutures and that his body cavity had been stuffed with maggots, both antiquated medical procedures. Those clues remind Sam and Dean of Doc Benton, whom their father had encountered when they were kids and documented in his journal.
