Changes: Memory Manipulation

Memory Manipulation is the power to change a human's memories, either erasing certain ones or manipulating them into false memories or restoring previously erased memories. This ability is very rare in the Supernatural universe.

Characters with this ability

Angels - Demonstrated by Michael, Zachariah, Castiel, and Naomi. Curiously, this ability is not used to trick Sam and Dean into saying Yes to Lucifer and Michael.

God - When he resurected Castiel the third time, he supressed his memories, albeit temporarily.
Azazel - Was able to erase Dean's memory of his conversation with Tessa upon resurrecting him.
Crowley - Was able to "scrub" Kevin's short term memory.
Death - Was able to set up a "wall" inside Sam's mind that prevented him from remembering his ordeal in Hell.
Reapers - Tessa was able to restore Dean's memories previously erased by Azazel.
Witches - Witches could plant false memories or use a person's memories to freeze a target through spells.
