Leticia Gore was the ghost of an orphanage caretaker who became the vilified subject of local legend.

History

Leticia ran an orphanage in the early 20th century, in addition to having a son of her own to look after. It was believed that she killed four young boys in her charge, including her son, who was also scalped. The ghosts of the Gores and the three orphans all continued to haunt the area.

In 2009, on the 100th anniversary of the murders, the first Supernatural convention was held at the site of the orphanage, which by then had been renovated and transformed into the Pineview Hotel. The activity disturbed the spirits, and Leticia was the one who seemed to be lashing out at convention-goers. After Sam and Dean learned about the contemporary police reports on Leticia, they set out to burn her remains. Her spirit initially attacked the two of them but was distracted by two Supernatural LARPing fans they'd teamed up with and went after them instead, allowing Sam and Dean to complete the salt and burn and destroy her ghost. It wasn't until the Winchesters later communicated with the spirit of Leticia's son that they realized she did not murder him; the other three little boys did. She had killed her son's murderers in rage and grief and then killed herself. Leticia's spirit had kept the three orphans' ghosts under control and unable to harm people, but when Sam and Dean burned her bones prematurely, the evil orphans began attacking people, and ultimately killed a man. But, the evil spirits were soon destroyed as well, with the help of LARPers Demian and Barnes.
