Law Enforcers are a form of employment within human society. There are various ranks and each one aims to preserve law and order within the society.
In Supernatural, law enforcers pose a threat to Sam and Dean Winchester, or hunters in general. Hunters are known to disguise as law enforcers (among other professions) in order to gain information on a case.
Monsters also take up a profession as a law enforcer, either before or after transformation.
