These unnamed angels were sent to locate and protect the newly awakened prophet Kevin Tran. The escort was led by Hester, and was later led by Inias, after the former's death.

Although previous prophets like Chuck were protected by archangels, Heaven was forced to rely on lower-class angels to protect Kevin. This was due to the recent conflicts Heaven participated in, which resulted in the death of two archangels Gabriel and Raphael, and the incapacitation of the strongest archangel, Michael, that remained loyal to Heaven.

Season 7Edit

In Reading Is Fundamental, Hester led the search for Kevin. However, the Winchesters, Castiel and Meg found the prophet first. A melee resulted between the two groups, as Hester insisted that the prophet come with them to meditate in the desert. The Winchesters, however, needed Kevin to decode the Word of God to neutralize the Leviathan threat. Despite Inias's plea for tolerance, Hester beat and threatened to kill Castiel, which prompted Meg to intervene by killing Hester. The rest agreed to let Kevin go with the angels after he translates the tablet.

Later on, two unnamed angels escorted Kevin back to his mother Linda, who was being interviewed by a detective. The detective was in fact the Leviathan Edgar, whose goal was to take the prophet away. Edgar revealed himself and attacked the two angels, who attempted to fight back but to no avail. Edgar easily killed both angels and captured Kevin and his mother. According to Castiel, the remaining members of the escort, if any, were killed or went into hiding. To date, no other angel was sent from Heaven to protect Kevin, although Castiel, while under Naomi's control, was ordered to keep an eye out for the prophet.
