... According to the lore, if you could recreate the exact combination of knots that Judas used and place the noose over someone's head, you'd release a strong demonic curse. Gives the wearer unholy powers, protects them from death... and eventually drives them mad. In the homicidal sense of the word.
Sam about the Judas's Noose

Judas's Noose was a set of nooses used by the disciple Judas Iscariot to commit suicide. It can be considered as a dark and cursed demonic relic. It was used by demons led by demon Tommy McClane to accelerate the course of the Apocalypse, with the intention that it will be finally used by Sam, to accelerate his preparation process to be Lucifer's vessel.

Physical Appearance[]

In its original form, it appeared as seven coils of rope. Six of them were scattered across the world (from Bangkok to Burbank), most of them falling into private collector hands, while the remainders fell into occultists's. The seventh and last knot landed in the USA and was bought by an unnamed collector working under Judas. It somehow procured by an unknown Lousiana witch, a common ancestor of present McClane and Daniels family. The piece of noose was under Daniels family protection. At some point, the demon Tommy McClane was able to retrieve it.

The seventh noose appeared as a thick, rough rope, stiff with age, its knots dark with a century and a half of spilled blood. Due to evil power emanated from it, an ancestor of Daniels family sealed the noose in a demon-proofed reliquary.

The noose recreation is possible, but required demon involvement to make it possible, although it may be not hold same power as original noose do. Once made and used in "proper place" (for example, in former battlefield), it can become the calling mark of Moa'ah.

Trivia[]

  • Lore that was recited by Sam about the Noose shared similarities with the Mark of Cain, in terms of giving the user supernatural unholy powers and mental corruption of the wielder.
