Joplin is a city in the U.S. state of Missouri. It lies on the border of southern Jasper County and northern Newton County and had a population of 52,288 as of 2017.

In The Spear, Sam and Jack break into a post office in Joplin to retrieve the hyperbolic pulse generator. However, they are ambushed by Alternate Michael and his monsters where Michael then destroys the device, knocks out Sam, and kidnaps Jack.
