God's Throne is the sovereign chair where he ruled Heaven and the universe. It would seem at first by his comment in "All in the Family" that the throne moves with him, but it's revealed in "Devil's Bargain" it remains in Heaven.
Metatron inscribed the tablets God dictated to him at his feet.
