Seasons FormatEdit

Hey, I really hate to bother you or make something a little issue into a bigger one but I'm just going to be blunt. Most of ThomasNealy's edits are good but the rest, especially the seasons format? Hell to the no. It's wack and tacky. I'm not saying all my edits are good or anything but at least I'm following the things we've been doing for the past three seasons (there are some users who do the same thing as me). He does not. I apologize for whining but it's literally annoying me now. Touchinos (talk) 03:37, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

Considering Zane is the one that approved it and why I am doing it that way. Which is what I told you. before you went ahead and undid two days of work.

That looks great, it's literally everything I wanted to page to be. You can implement whenever you wish. Zane T 69 (talk) 18:01, December 12, 2017 (UTC)

Great work. Also, it's spelled tomorrow, I'm not trying to be mean, but I thought you should know that. Zane T 69 (talk) 21:55, December 12, 2017 (UTC)

copied from my page. If it needs to be different let me know now before I waste more time making the changesThomasNealy (talk) 03:43, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

  • My only problem with it is the fact that you have to put links and the writers/directors on the summary section when literally their names are already on the format of the episode list. Like I said, it would look and work better if the hyperlinks are on the Episode pages not the Seasons pages. Touchinos (talk) 04:24, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

They are there because they are part of the official summary, along with all the errors and typos. The links are there for two reasons, one to help new readers/watchers find their way around, and two because the official summaries are full of so many mistakes that the links allow for readers to follow them to the right info instead of reading the wrong stuff. The other issue with you undoing it all was you undid the error notes as well, when a actor or character name was misspelled, or a typo was made. The released so far use spirit, ghost, and demon interchangeably. This is not correct info and needs to be linked to the right info, other wise it is misinformation and does not belong on the wiki. I left a note for that, you deleted all of that as well. If we are going to use the official press release then we need to make sure we provide the corrected info as well, because who ever they have writing the releases seem to know little abou the show or who is in it. ThomasNealy (talk) 04:33, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

  • Yes. I know that it is the official summaries. The solution for the errors on the official releases was already addressed by a user here. The corrections will be on the Trivia section of the respective episodes. Not on the Seasons page. Too many links on a long page will cause it to load slower and cause the page to look messy. Like I said before, if the new watchers want to know more, they can go to the episode page they want and find everything there. I'm tired of this discussion. All I'm saying is that constant change to the format that has been implemented for quite some time is annoying. Touchinos (talk) 05:47, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

the above is copied from Zane T 69 talk page. I think it would be better to have this here rather then continue to use one user talk page to reach a consensus on the topic. --ThomasNealy (talk) 04:48, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

Which is why a consensus is needed by the community.  I was following what I was told to do and was approved before it went live.  If it is decided to do it your way that is fine, you can then take up the project and edit all 13 seasons and nearly 300 episodes. other wise i will keep going as Zane told me to. ThomasNealy (talk) 05:53, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

  • I mean... I'm fine with doing the rest. Seasons 10 to 13 and their episodes are already fine. I could do it now that the show is on hiatus and I have a lot more free time. Touchinos (talk) 06:09, December 14, 2017 (UTC)
  • I agree with Touchinos on the errors, spelling mistakes, alternate titles - they are commonly put on the episode pages.  It does make the season pages look a bit long with too much text, but I think everything else looks great! Dtol (talk) 08:03, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

So you like the links and writer/director but not the notes? ThomasNealy (talk) 14:10, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

It seems that we are outvoted, and Touchinos makes good points and cited a statement that I forgot that I said. Zane T 69 (talk) 15:15, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

So, what's the decision then? Just give me the go signal and I'm going to start doing it. Touchinos (talk) 01:51, December 15, 2017 (UTC)

I guess go ahead, maybe work in your sandbox to give more people a chance to weigh in. Zane T 69 (talk) 02:03, December 15, 2017 (UTC)

  • How do I create my sandbox? Touchinos (talk) 02:22, December 15, 2017 (UTC)

You can find the instructions: here Zane T 69 (talk) 02:40, December 15, 2017 (UTC)

Alright. I only copied my previous edit that ThomasNealy undid and replaced the poster with the official one that The WB released. The covers for the DVD and TV should be separated. You can find it here. The format for the episodes will be the same as the one that we follow now (see example: Lost & Found). Touchinos (talk) 04:40, December 15, 2017 (UTC)

It looks great, I see what you mean about the links now. Zane T 69 (talk) 14:54, December 15, 2017 (UTC)
