Supernatural was renewed for a fourteenth season by The CW on April 2, 2018.[1] The season consists of 20 episodes and airs on Thursdays at 8PM EST.[2]
Preparation for the season began on June 20, 2018.[3] Filming began on July 10, 2018 and ended on March 26, 2019.[4]
The season premiered on October 11, 2018 with Stranger in a Strange Land and ended on April 25, 2019 with Moriah. The Supernatural: The Complete Fourteenth Season DVD was released on September 10, 2019.

- When demons are killed this season, the effect is generally changed to a red glow instead of the usual golden glow.
- The appearance of vampires and werewolves has been changed slightly, even before their grace enhancements. The teeth on both species is far more prominent than in previous seasons, sticking farther out of their mouths more than in the past. This is seen first with Melanie in Gods and Monsters, an event that occurs before Michael enhances her.
