Neil was a good friend of Angela Mason and secretly loved her. When Angela caught her boyfriend, Matt, and her housemate, Lindsey, together in bed, she went to Neil for a shoulder to cry on. When Matt turned up on Neil's doorstep, Angela ran away and subsequently had a car accident while talking on the phone.
Devastated by her death, he employed necromancy to bring her back to life. He hid her in his basement but she snuck out to kill Matt and Lindsey. When he learned of this, he questioned Angela, but the latter told him that she had to do it. Getting scared by Angela's antics, he tried to escape, but Angela caught up with him and snapped his neck.
