This man had a daughter who was killed by an unidentified killer.
When a crocotta tries to have Dean killed, he takes on his daughter's voice and tells his man that the killer is at is house. The crocotta had actually taken the voice of Dean's father and told him that the demon who had his contract was this man and led him to this house so that they could kill each other.
The man steps into a devil's trap, to which Dean begins to recite an exorcism. However when the man steps out of the trap and attacks Dean with a shotgun, he realizes he is not a demon. Dean manages to tackle and disarm him and, faced with the man's despair, tells him that he is not his daughter's killer and that does not know why he is here.
