Benjamin and Castiel's Guard ambushes Erza
Ezra was captured by a group of angels loyal to Castiel, and taken to his headquarters to be interrogated. Sam and Dean were later called in to help.
When physical torture proves fruitless, the Winchesters decide to use a more psychological method to get information out of him. This method works, and Ezra tells them about Metatron's secret entrance to Heaven.
Sometime later, Ezra is found dead in the interrogation room, having been killed by Josiah.
