Erebus was a Greek god. His bracelet and his minions appeared in The Winchesters.
History[]
In ancient history, Erebus created a bracelet that he gave to his followers. The bracelet was devised to uncover the secrets of their enemies. This bracelet came under the possession of Maggie.
Powers and Abilities[]
Erebus himself did not make an appearance. However, as a god, he possessed powers and abilities shared by other deities such as immortality and super strength.
- Spell Casting - Erebus had the power to create or enchant a bracelet that had two purposes. To the bearer who is "pure of heart", it revealed monsters. However, if someone with a deep secret wore the bracelet, shadow spirits embedded in the artifact will force the bearer to reveal the secret. If the secret was not revealed, the shadows will consume the bearer.
- Super Strength - While not appearing in the episode, it is safe to assume he possesses this power as he is a god.
- Immortality - As a god, Erebus is immortal and is able to live forever. He has been around since Ancient Greece.
- Invulnerability - Erebus is immune to mortal weapons and cannot be killed by them.

Lore[]
In Greek mythology, Erebus (Ancient Greek: Ἔρεβος, "deep darkness, shadow"), is the personification of darkness and one of the primordial gods. Hesiod's Theogony identifies him as one of the first five gods in existence, born to Chaos.
The Greek oral poet Hesiod's Theogony (8th century BCE) portrays Erebus as the offspring of Chaos, and as the brother of Nyx, by whom he is the father of Aether and Hemera to name a few.
