Djinns are a rare race of supernatural cave dwelling hermits. Djinns have been encountered by other hunters and by Sam and Dean Winchester. Theses’ creatures come from Islamic and Arabian Mythology. On the TV show, Djinn's are not the wish making creatures that they are normally depicted as. Djinns are humanoid with tattoos and scarification covering their body. Their eyes glow blue when attacking their prey.

Djinn attacs Dean

The Djinn's don't grant true wishes; instead they poison their victims and creates an alternate reality the victim is trapped in and making the victim believe that the hallucination is their wish come true. At the same time, unknown to the victim, the djinn feeds on the blood. The only way the victim can wake up from their false reality is by taking their own life therefore forcing the body to wake up. Sometimes the djinns power is so great that it can poison the person to death when they are hallucinating.

Djinns live in ruins and are more like (cave dwelling hermits) then hunting down and attacking humans. But Djinns will get reveng and kill any human that kills one of their own kind or one of their family member.

The only thing that can kill a djinn, is to stab them with a silver knife dipped in goats blood.

Trivia

  • Djinn, humans and Angels make up the three sentient creations of Allah. According to the Qur’ān, there are two creations that have free will[citation needed]: humans and djinn. Religious sources say barely anything about them; however, the Qur’an mentions that jinn are made of smokeless flame or "the fire of a scorching wind".[1] Like human beings, the jinn can also be good, evil, or neutrally benevolent.[2]
  • They are usually invisible to humans, and humans do not appear clearly to them. djinn have the power to travel large distances at extreme speeds and are thought to live in remote areas, mountains, seas, trees, and the air, in their own communities. Like humans, djinn will also be judged on the Day of Judgment and will be sent to Paradise or Hell according to their deeds. The djinn occasionally assume human form to mislead and destroy their human victims.
  • Djinn were generally "ignorant, untruthful, oppressive and treacherous".
