Dixon was a vampire whose nest, including his daughter, was killed by hunters. He's one of the few vampires to show genuine care and grief for their offspring.
Biography
Season 3
Dixon picks up blonde girls at a nightclub called Spider and feeds them his blood, promising them it is a fantastic new drug, before stringing them up in his nest as they turn. However, one of his victims, Lucy, breaks free and goes on a rampage, killing two people to satiate her bloodlust, attracting the attention of Sam and Dean. They capture Lucy, and after learning of Dixon's hangout, kill her before stopping him from turning another victim. Dixon manages to get away as the boys are attacked by Gordon Walker and Kubrick. He then takes Gordon captive and brings him to his nest. Initially deciding to have his nest feed on Gordon, Dixon instead chooses to turn him into a vampire as revenge. He is utterly devastated when Gordon kills the two women he was holding captive and making into vampires. With nothing left to live for, he begs Dean to kill him, but not before warning him of what he did to Gordon.
Based on the photo of his daughter, he had likely been around since the late 19th century.
