Richard "Dick" Roman was a billionaire businessman and the secret leader of the Leviathans, having murdered the real Dick Roman shortly after they were unknowingly released by Castiel.
He is shown to have a hatred of demons that exceeds even his feelings about humanity, rejecting the demon Crowley's offer to join forces with him and telling the current king of Hell that he might very well wipe his kind from the Earth.
Dick is eventually killed by Dean Winchester with the Bone Of Righteous Mortal Washed In the Three Bloods of the Fallen. As he dies, Dick emits energy waves and laughs before exploding into black goo. As a side effect of his death, Dean and Castiel are pulled to Purgatory along with his soul.
Personality
Appearing charming and well spoken in the human world, the Leviathan inside of Roman commands both respect and fear among his own kind. He despises bad news and punishes any failure with death. Roman also despises demons in a similar manner to how Lucifer despised mankind, describing them as lazy, ugly mutations and "whores" and viewing them with even less respect than he does humans; when Crowley approaches him in an effort to form a partnership, Roman simply tells him that he would rather "swim through hot garbage than shake hands with a bottom feeding mutation like [him]," and warns Crowley to leave them alone, stating that the Leviathans would wipe demonkind out in a heartbeat were they not preoccupied with other matters. A dumbstruck Crowley beats a hasty retreat.
Like with the rest of his kind he views humans as a food supply, though he finds certain elements such as human inventions like the gun amusing. Dick is also fascinated with humans like Charlie Bradbury who have what he calls the "Spark"; a one in a million element that he attributes to humans who who have extra special potential in the their fields. He explained that while a Leviathan could copy someone like Charlie they wouldn't be able to copy her skills and abilities to the same level as those she possess.
He is also something of a masochistic as evident when Sam dowses him in Borax. While other Leviathans reacted to the substance in agony, he just grins and compliments the brothers on finding something that can actually hurt them and finds the exposure a rush. He also laughed and seemed happy when Bobby attacked him, using his new ghost strength to hurt the Leviathan.
Powers and Abilities
Dick possesses all the standard powers of a Leviathan, however his powers are considerably higher than a average Leviathan. For example, his durability threshold is significantly higher, to the point of relishing in Borax, a severe weakness of other Leviathans.
- Superhuman Intelligence - As leader of the Leviathans, he is vastly intelligent and the smartest of his kind. He is also a master tactician. Crowley acknowledges his superhuman intelligence.
- Overwhelming Invulnerability - His durability is notable as while all other Leviathans find Borax agonizing, he just shrugged it off, and found the experience almost enjoyable. Also, when penetrated with the one object that could kill him (The Bone of a Righteous mortal Washed in the Three Bloods of the fallen), he laughed, finding the ordeal amusing.
- Regeneration - Although it causes him no pain, Borax still deteriorates his skin, however he heals much faster.
- Super Strength - Dick is much stronger than an average Leviathan, he's even stronger than angels, and in turn, demons, as well as other monsters even the King of Hell, making him one of the strongest entities on the show.
- Super Stamina - Dick never tires, and unlike normal Leviathans he can control his hunger.
- Monstrous Jaws - Like every Leviathan he can change to form a giant mouth, which he uses when eating.
- Shapeshifting - Upon absorbing his victims' DNA, he can assume their forms and memories. He can also change his vessel's appearance in little ways, such as gaining his giant jaws.
- Soul Reading - Dick was able to sense, wether or not a Leviathan could copy a human to the same potential or not.
Early Life
A piece of the real "Dick Roman"
The human Dick Roman was a billionaire businessman who was one of the 50 most powerful men in America. He owned the corporation Richard Roman Enterprises. At some point between "Hello, Cruel World" and "Slash Fiction" he was killed and replaced by the leader of the Leviathans after they escaped into the public water supply. Since assuming Roman's identity, the Leviathan leader has risen to the top 35 most powerful men in America and embarked on a ruthless corporate takeover agenda, focusing specifically on the food industry. The real Dick Roman's arm was kept in an icebox.
Season 7
He is mentioned shortly after the Leviathans escape by Edgar who has been sent out hunting for some Leviathans who are drawing human attention. Edgar reminds the Older Leviathan in the area to get the others in line since their boss hates bad news. He is also the one who sent Edgar to kill the brothers.
Dick meets Crowley and rejects his offer
Roman receives a call from Agent Valente that Leviathan!Dean and Leviathan!Sam are dead and that the real Winchesters are gone. He suggest cloning them again, but Roman tells him no, that they can't have the brothers come back from the dead for a second time as not even the American media would buy that. He threatens Valente with "bibbing" if he fails again. When Roman gets into his limo, he finds Crowley waiting for him. Crowley introduces himself and suggests that they should work together, but Roman is unimpressed by his offer. When Crowley points out that it was he who freed the leviathans by opening the portal to Purgatory, Roman laughs and says that he isn't interested in working with demons. He considers them to be even lower than humans and even threatening to wipe out their entire species if he didn't have more important things to do, causing Crowley to teleport away.
Dick Roman arrives to review the experiment being conducted by Dr. Gaines. Dr Gaines has synthesised a food additive which he has put into the "Turducken Slammer". It is very addictive, and consumption leads to weight gain, and dampens people's emotional responses until they are very apathetic. After cooking, a tainted Turducken Slammer will revert back to the grey goo state. However in 0.03% of cases consumption results in "hyper-adrenalised cannibalism".
Dick is not happy as the 'failures' have made the papers as they've killed locals and holiday makers. More importantly, Dick points out, they've broken his golden rule - there's no such thing as monsters. As punishment he 'bibs' Dr Gaines - literally placing a plastic bib on him, and making him eat himself.

After Bobby is captured spying on the complex, Dick says he may keep Bobby alive, relying on Sam and Dean coming to rescue him. Which of course they do. In the ensuing fight Dick is sprayed with Borax by Sam, but it has little effect on him. Dean pours the rest of his Borax on to Dick so they could make a quick getaway. As Bobby jumps into the van that Dean and Sam are waiting in, Dick shoots at the van, and with one of the bullets wounds Bobby in the head.

Dean finds Dick in his car outside the hospital where Bobby is fighting for his life. When Dean yells that Dick Roman is there, passers-by start taking pictures with their phones. Dean challenges him to kill him there, but also points out that - being famous - Dick can't kill him without drawing attention to the leviathans, which Dick doesn't want. He just laughs, seemingly unconcerned by Dean's threats.
Dick asks one of his I.T. staff Charlie Bradbury to decrypt Frank Devereaux's hard drive. After more than 24 hours of constant work, she manages to open the files on it. Frank's hard drive has the folders: The Feeb, Richard Roman Enterprises, Clones, Known Facts, Monsters, Unsolved Mysteries, March of Dimes, X-Files and two folders titled Misc. research.

Charlie starts reading files describing the Leviathans, and their activities, including their connection to Dick. Concluding it all sounds crazy, she goes in search of her supervisor Pete, who is gone to the parking garage for a cigarette. Down there, Dick is telling Pete that Charlie is one of the few humans who is special, who can't be fully copied by the leviathans, whereas Pete can. Charlie then watches as one of Roman's men turns into Pete and eats him - vindicating all she read in Frank's files.
Later, Dick asks Charlie what she has found on the hard drive, unaware that she has just stole his emails and wiped the hard drive. Dick is disappointed that there is no mention of the Winchesters on the hard drive.
Dick is then excited that a package he has been awaiting has arrived. However Charlie found information on the package - which has been transported from one of Roman's archeological digs in Iran - and alerted Sam and Dean who switch the package for a case containing a borax bomb. Inside the case, the Winchesters find a slab of clay.

When Roman's minions arrive with the switched package, Charlie tries to leave the building. The borax bomb explodes but Dick is unharmed and puts the building on lockdown. As Charlie tries to escape, Bobby is able to shatter the glass on the front doors by freezing it. He then launches a frenzied attack on Dick, breaking Charlie's arm in the process. Dick is unhurt and calls out for his unseen attacker to show himself.

A few moments later, the Winchester brothers burst into the building and rescue Charlie. Angered, Dick eats the Leviathan that failed to pick up this package.
In the next episode, Dick contacts Edgar over his cell phone with new orders.
Dick appears on a TV show in an interview with a reporter. Dick explains his reasons for purchasing SucroCorp a major food corporation responsible for producing high fructose corn syrup - a primary ingredient in most processed foods. In the interview, Dick states that he intends to perfect and purify high fructose corn syrup in order to make Americans "living longer and tasting better." The reporter asks if he means the food will taste better, and Dick smiles and says yes.

After the interview, Dick orders Susan to kill and replace the reporter, and barbeque her corpse. He then speaks with Kevin, the Prophet who has just been taken prisoner by Edgar. Dick asks him to translate the tablet containing the Word of God on it. He offers Kevin a letter of recommendation to Princeton if he cooperates. Kevin, however, already knows what Dick really is and refuses, so Dick shows him a video of Kevin's mother being held a hostage. Kevin immediately breaks down and agrees to translate the tablet. After he's done, Dick orders Edgar to have Kevin's mother released, under the condition that she doesn't talk, but tells Kevin he wants him to stay a while longer. He then dispatches Edgar to deal with their "friends" - later revealed to be the Alpha Vampire.
Dick summons Crowley and traps him in a Devil's trap. He then asks Crowley to sit down as they have a lot to talk about.

Dick makes a deal with Crowley, to try and stop him giving the blood, but suspecting Crowley would cheat him, he had several other Leviathans take his form, as an attempt to fool the Winchesters. He later gave a conference to all the other higher Leviathans, about how the plan was coming, and gave them a demonstration of a poison designed to kill thin humans. Later, Dean and Castiel confront Dick Roman in his lab. He is confronted by Castiel, who he hurls backwards, Dean stabs him with the bone, but it doesn't work. Dick laughs at him, but it turns out to be a trick - Dean stabbed him with a fake.

ill smiling, Dick explodes in a shower of black Leviathan goo. With his death, the other Leviathans "flounder" and apparently lose their ability to cooperate. Dick's soul is transported back to Purgatory, taking Dean and Castiel with him.
