History
Derek was born and raised on the Pine Ridge Reservation, in Oglala Sioux. He descended from a line of physicians, tracing all the way to the shaman Black Elk. Because he was a Dreamwalker, Derek could see other worlds.

Jack tracks down Derek in hopes of borrowing his power so he can find and retrieve Mary Winchester from an alternate reality.
