Deacon was a high-ranking corrections officer at Green River County Detention Center.
Background
An old friend of John Winchester from the Marines, Deacon contacted Sam and Dean about a suspected haunting at the prison he worked in. He attempted to hide his connections with the Winchesters by acting brutal with them, especially with Dean. Despite this, he offered the brothers the assurance that they would have a chance to escape the prison once the case was solved. Later on, Deacon was willingly knocked out by Dean to make it appear that he had no hand in the Winchesters' escape. This did not amuse Agent Henriksen, who was furious at the brothers' escape.
