Dana is a cousin of Craig Thursten.
Background[]
When Dana arrived on holiday to Richardson, Texas, Craig showed her the old house. Together with Craig they decorated it to look haunted. On the walls they painted symbols from album covers and from Dana's theology textbooks. They learned that here lived a guy with surname Murdoch. The two decided to make up a backstory for fun, a story about Mordechai Murdoch which quickly spread until it had a website of its own.
Unluckily for them, the story came to life on its own and a real Murdoch started killing women as the story said. Later when Craig took his friends to the house, Dana pretended to be a hanged girl to scare them.
