The Crash of Flight 401 was an incident in which a phantom traveler was the direct cause of Flight 401 to crash. It resulted in many passengers dying along with the Captain with only some survivors. [1]
History[]
On February 8, 2000, a spirit caused the plane to crash through unknown means that left many of its passengers dead and the pilot also being reported deceased.
After the crash, the plane was salvaged for parts which were used on on other planes. Due to this, the original spirit behind 401 remained attached and therefore caused other crashes with people theorizing that those were done by the spirits of the original crash though a hunter by the name of Shawn discovered that that was not the case and was in fact the spirit behind 401.
Some time later, this information would be relayed to Jo Harvelle by the hunter who recorded the incident in her journal.

- A phantom traveler demon would make its episodic debut in the season one episode of the same name with this incident occurring five years prior to the one investigated by Sam and Dean Winchester.
