On the morning of November 7, 1983, following the death of his wife, Mary Winchester, John Winchester continued going around the area asking questions regarding how Mary died with one of the people being his neighbor, Chuck. When Chuck was questioned, he claimed he and his wife would go to bed early and that he did not know anything about the fire.
