“ | Mother's got beef with you. (...) Killing her Alphas, swallowing her Leviathan. Bringing you to her should earn us a nice reward. | ” |
This unnamed Leviathan helped Dean and Castiel to search for a Leviathan Blossom while secretly working for Eve.
History[]
After Dean Winchester and Castiel enter Purgatory in search of a Leviathan Blossom, this Leviathan stalks them. While Dean examines a monster corpse closer, the Leviathan charges at them, only to get thrown into a tree by Castiel with telekinesis. Approaching the Leviathan, Castiel explains that they had seen him following them and Dean comments that they thought that he'd never make his move. The Leviathan demands to know what they want and Dean admits that, embarrassingly, they're looking for a flower. The Leviathan sarcastically asks if he looks like a florist and starts to get up, but Dean warns the Leviathan that his shotgun is loaded with borax-filled shells and asks if he knows what borax does to Leviathans and offers to show him.
The Leviathan reveals that there's a blossom that grows out of the soil when Leviathans die and Dean prepares to shoot the Leviathan. However, the Leviathan warns the two that the body has to rot first which could take months to happen and the blossoms then bloom from their rotting corpses. The Leviathan offers to show them a place not far away where they can find some, but Dean stops him to ask about the fate of Benny Lafitte first. The Leviathan admits that he's heard of Benny "the guy who got out and came back, like an idiot" and that Benny is dead, having been ripped apart by his own kind. Upset, Dean orders the Leviathan to begin moving and he starts leading them to the Leviathan Blossom.
The Leviathan leads Dean and Castiel to a field containing rotting Leviathan remains and several Leviathan Blossoms. As Castiel enters the field in order to grab one, he is suddenly stopped by an angel trap and realizes that the Leviathan had tricked them. The Leviathan explains that "Mother's got beef with you" and Castiel realizes that he's talking about Eve. The Leviathan reveals that Eve wants revenge upon Castiel for killing the Alphas and swallowing the Leviathans, stating that bringing Castiel to Eve should earn them a nice reward. As Dean wonders what the Leviathan means by "us," another Leviathan comes up behind him and attacks with Castiel warning Dean just in time. After a brief struggle, Dean knocks the Leviathan to the ground and shoots him with a borax shell, taking the Leviathan down. However, another Leviathan knocks Dean unconscious with a tree branch. When Dean regains consciousness, he discovers that both Castiel and the Leviathans are gone and that the Leviathans have taken with them all of the Leviathan Blossoms in the field.
With just under three minutes left until the rift closes, Dean finds an injured Castiel near the rift, much to his relief and Dean hugs him. Castiel explains that since the Leviathans were after him and not Dean, he had figured that it would be safest for Castiel to surrender himself to them. As the Leviathans took him to Eve, Castiel had waited until he saw a Leviathan Blossom, he grabbed it, caught the Leviathans off-guard and fought back, eventually managing to get away from them. Dean is pleased that Castiel did it, but Castiel warns Dean that they should hurry as the Leviathans are still after him.
Powers and Abilities[]
He appears to be a low-ranking Leviathan who, as such, has lesser abilities than others such as Dick Roman and Edgar.
- Enhanced Senses - Leviathans have far superior senses compared to humans.
- Flight - In their true form in Purgatory, Leviathans have shown the ability to fly and land anywhere with extreme speed and force. In this state, they appear as meteors composed of a thick, black ooze.
- Invulnerability - The only way for a hunter to kill a Leviathan is with a Bone Of Righteous Mortal Washed In the Three Bloods of Fallen. While use of witchcraft, Borax, decapitation or extreme physical force can disable and weaken them temporarily, they will recover from the damage in a matter of seconds to hours, depending on the extent of damage.
- Immortality - Being creatures much older than souls and angels, the Leviathans are immortal, in a variety of senses, in that by having an ageless lifespan, meaning they simply do not age, and can not be killed by but one mean, devised by God himself.
- Possession - Much like demons, Leviathan can take over a human host's body and mind by a touch, though unlike demons the process alters the host biologically and appears permanent.
- Regeneration - Leviathan can heal from virtually every form of injury.
- Shapeshifting - Through physical contact with just one strand of DNA, Leviathan can instantaneously shapeshift their vessel into that person's form, transforming into the person they are in contact with.
- Super Strength - Leviathans are immensely physically stronger than humans, monsters, demons, and top-level ghosts. Leviathans are even stronger than angels and can overpower them with ease. However, this particular Leviathan relied on trickery and numbers to defeat Dean and Castiel, suggesting that he isn't as strong as some of the other Leviathans that they have encountered.
- Powerful Jaws - Leviathan possess massive, retractable jaws that are immensely strong and serves as their primary weapon and way to feed. Their jaws can rip open almost anything they bite into, including humans, angels, demons and various other creatures - even other Leviathan.
- Super Intelligence - Leviathans are very adaptable as they were able to grasp full understanding of modern technology and systems despite being in Purgatory since the dawn of time. This Leviathan was able to use Dean and Castiel's search for a Leviathan Blossom to lure them into a trap when he couldn't defeat them through brute force.
- Super Stamina - Leviathans have unlimited stamina and never tire, however they do get hungry but cannot starve to death.
- Super Speed - Leviathans can move at incredible speeds.
- Super Agility - Leviathans can jump than any human can, are able to climb fast and possess better reflexes than humans.
Weaknesses[]
He presumably possesses all of the regular weaknesses of a Leviathan.
- Borax - Contact with borax is extremely excruciating for Leviathans and burns their flesh. When threatened with a shotgun loaded with borax shells, the Leviathan surrendered.
