This unnamed woman is Ed Singer's wife-turned-widow as well as Bobby Singer's mother.

As revealed by a comatose Bobby's memories, his mother was timid and submissive to her alcoholic and physically abusive husband. She appeared frightened by Ed, stuttering when trying to talk and trying to please him and keep him happy and relaxed. She may have resented Bobby and possibly blamed him for his father's actions. This is suggested by a particular revisited memory, in which young Bobby came down for dinner without having washed up sufficiently. Weary and exasperated, she said to him "You're filthy! What is wrong with you? Its like you want him to get mad!".
Getting abused by Ed shortly before he is killed.
Later, when her son accidentally spilled a glass of milk at dinner, she was forced to deal with the mess that ensued while Bobby was sent to get something to help clean it up. A drunken Ed began berating her for letting Bobby "do whatever he wants." He hit her hard enough to knock her to the floor and make her bleed, and then started dragging her to her feet by pulling on her hair. At one point she tearfully asked Bobby "Why do you always have to provoke him?" Bobby eventually shot his father with a rifle, killing him. Bobby's mother was horrified, rather than grateful, and exclaimed, "Bobby, what did you do? God is gonna punish you!".[1]
