The Bible is a collection of sacred scripture which generally refers to the texts of Judaism and Christianity. The prophecy regarding the Apocalypse is related to the Bible in The Book of Revelation, which is the last book in the Christian New Testament.
It is one of two Christian objects held closer by its believers. The other is the Christian Cross.

Early History[]
Not much is known about the Bible's history other than what is written in it.
Season 3[]
When Elizabeth Higgins informed the Winchester brothers that Amanda Burns was Episcopalian, Dean replied that "she was using the wrong Bible", in reference to her grimoire.
Season 4[]
Bobby with the book of Revelations.
Bobby found out about The Rising of The Witnesses by browsing through a widely distributed version of the Book of Revelations.
Anna Milton told her doctor that the Apocalypse was coming, to which the doctor asked if it was like the Apocalypse in the Bible; Anna commented it was almost exactly the same.
Dean held a Bible in an attempt to calm himself from his ghost sickness.
Castiel confirmed the existence of Luke and his work as a prophet.
Season 5[]
The book of Revelations foretold the arrival of Wormwood (War).
Castiel told the Winchesters that the Bible "gets more wrong than it does right" when explaining that the Anti-Christ isn't Lucifer's child, but a demon spawn.
In Swan Song, God monologues about how before his death, Sal Moriarty, first owner of the Impala, used to drive around on weekends giving bibles to the poor, "gettin' folks right for Judgement Day!" as he said.
Season 10[]
In Brother's Keeper, Dean rhetorically asks Death if Genesis was a lie.
Season 11[]
In Form and Void, after learning from a Reaper that he is "unclean in a biblical sense" after getting infected by a Rabid, Sam does a search for "bible purification" on the Internet. In Mark 9:49, Sam finds a line stating that "everyone will be purified by fire" and another reference to holy oil. Near to being consumed by the Rabid infection, Sam decides to try the purification mentioned in the Bible. Using a sponge doused in holy fire, Sam is able to cure himself and the survivors of the town of Superior, Nebraska.
A priest or church deacon handed Amara a copy of the Bible while telling her that "the Light vanquishes The Darkness", unaware he was referring to her.
Season 12[]
The Bible bursts into flames upon being touched by the mother of Lucifer's child.
In LOTUS, while possessing President Jefferson Rooney, Lucifer is handed a Bible to lead Rooney's staff in prayer over the death of a Secret Service agent he had killed. While holding the Bible, his hand smokes and afterwards he finds that the cross from the Bible has been burned into his hand before it heals. Later, in order to convince Kelly Kline that she's carrying Lucifer's child, Castiel hands her a Bible. The Bible bursts into flame where her hand touches it, leaving a burned hand mark on it. Dean quickly dumps water on the burning Bible and throws it out.
Season 13[]
In The Rising Son, Dean hands Jack a Bible as reading material. Unlike Lucifer or Kelly while she was pregnant with him, Jack is unharmed by holding the Bible. He later questions the Winchesters on Lucifer's role in it, causing Dean to tell him that Lucifer is Satan from the Bible. Jack also gains some knowledge on God from reading the Bible.

In Devil's Bargain, Lucifer reclines on a motel room bed reading a Bible. Lucifer comments with a laugh that what he's reading is wrong and wonders "doesn't anybody fact-check this stuff?" He later comments that "Dad's really stealing my best lines, man" while reading before being interrupted.
In Bring 'em Back Alive, when two priests try to incompetently perform an exorcism on a teenage girl possessed by a demon, a Bible is set on a nearby table.
Season 14[]
In Prophet and Loss, when Sam and Dean ask if Eddie and his brother Alan know anyone religious, Eddie tells them about Tony Alvarez who was always quoting stuff that sounded like it came from the Bible.
In Jack in the Box, Jack Kline sends two biblical punishments ("a pillar of salt" and "the worms gobble") on two people, which Castiel later commented on for the Winchesters.
Season 15[]
In Unity, when Amara teleports herself and Chuck to Heaven, the angels excitedly flock in carrying Bibles with one asking their Father to sign hers for her.

Trivia[]
- Castiel adamantly says the Bible is mostly wrong, including saying that the Anti-Christ is Lucifer's child, but ironically, the Bible never actually names the Anti-Christ as Lucifer's child; that is more an interpretation of popular culture. While reading the Bible himself, Lucifer comments on how wrong the Bible is and wonders if anyone ever fact-checks the Bible.
- Despite the Darkness being pre-biblical, the Bible contains a cure for the Darkness' Rabid infection. This is likely a coincidence though.
- The mother of a Nephilim holding a Bible is shown to cause it to burst into flame. Holding a Bible is also painful for Lucifer, though this may be better attributed to the cross on the cover of many Bibles. However, the Nephilim himself, Lucifer's son Jack, was able to hold a Bible without any harm coming to him. In both cases where the Bible caused harm, Lucifer and Kelly Kline had put their palm on the top where the cross was located.
- In The Magnificent Seven Envy says, "I am legion, for we are many," this is a quote from the Bible when Jesus meets the Gerasene demoniac in Mark 5. In Mark 5:9, Jesus asks: "What is your name?" to which he replies, "My name is Legion; for we are many." Luke' 8:30 expresses a similar sentiment: "Jesus asked him, 'What is your name?' 'Legion,' he replied, because many demons had gone into him."
- In Our Little World, Castiel said "Yeah, well, man cannot live on caviar alone, Dean." Castiel's line is a take on the quote attributed to Jesus in Matthew 4:4: "But Jesus answered, 'It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
