The Bender Family is a family of psychotic murderers residing in Hibbing, Minnesota.

Known members

  • Pa Bender (deceased) - The leader of this cannibalistic family and the father of three children. He inherited a family tradition of abducting people and sending them off into the woods before hunting them down. He described this activity as "fun". Pa was killed by Deputy Kathleen Hudak.
  • Jared Bender - Presumably the oldest child, Jared, like the rest of his family, gleefully partook in the family tradition of hunting down abducted people, going so far as to toy with them. He, along with his brother Lee, were last seen being locked in cages by Sam Winchester. After they were trapped, Deputy Kathleen Hudak called for backup to arrest them and said the FBI would also be investigating.
  • Lee Bender - Presumably the second oldest child, Lee, like the rest of his family, gleefully partook in the family tradition of hunting down abducted people, going so far as to toy with them. He, along with his brother Jared, were last seen being locked in cages by Sam Winchester. After they were trapped, Deputy Kathleen Hudak called for backup to arrest them and said the FBI would also be investigating.
  • Missy Bender - The youngest member and only daughter, Missy often used her young age and innocent appearance to trick people into lowering their guards before attacking them. She was last seen being locked in a closet by Dean Winchester. After the family was trapped, Deputy Kathleen Hudak called for backup to arrest them and said the FBI would also be investigating.

Enemies

  • The Law - The Benders were very keen on avoiding detection by the police, so much that their family tradition was only done once or twice a year to avoid getting caught.
  • Sam and Dean Winchester - The Winchester brothers, although captured by the family, managed to escape and lock them up inside cages and a closet. Presumably, this led the police to successfully arresting them, though this has never been confirmed.

Trivia

  • This family shares its name with a real-life serial killer family nicknamed the Bloody Benders. They resided in Kansas during the 1870s and their whereabouts are unknown.
