Ben Cotton (b. July 26, 1975; Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian film and television actor perhaps best known for his role in the TV series Stargate Atlantis playing the scientist Dr. Kavanagh. He is also known for his portrayal of Leon Bell in the game Dead Rising 2. He is also well known for playing Shane Pierce, the local townie, on CBS's Harper's Island.
Cotton portrayed Businessman / Pride in the season 3 episode "The Magnificent Seven", as well as vampire Richard Beesome in the season 11 episode "Don't You Forget About Me".
