Augmentative Size, also known as Gigantification is the condition of being extremely big, tall, long, or large owned by some supernatural creatures, the extent of which can vary from one species to another.

Beings with this Ability/Condition[]

  • The Loch Ness Monster - The Pad of Definitions mentions the Loch Ness Monster as being "a giant lake monster", even being confused with giant molluscs and species of dinosaurs.
  • Giant Alligator - In the episode Tall Tales, the trickster is seen at one point reading a journal about "pranks" he made recently, one of them being him summoning a giant killing alligator in the city's sewers. Elieen read a story about a giant alligator in the alternate future Chuck showed Sam where monsters ruled the earth.
  • The Incredible Hulk - Gabriel was able to conjure an eight foot sized construct of The Hulk.
  • Angels
    • Seraphim - As said by Castiel, his true unmaterial form is a "multidimensional wavelength of celestial intent"[1] and "approximately the size of your Chrysler Building"[2] (which is 319 meters tall).
    • Archangels - As expected due to their level of power, archangels seem to be even bigger than regular angels/seraphim, when Lucifer was released from his cage, his true form of a beam of light reached airplanes' flight height level (between 31,000 and 38,000 feet, about 5.9 to 7.2 miles tall).[3]
  • Teddy - Using a wishing well, a child named Audrey Elmer brought his regular sized stuffed Teddy bear to life, this wish also made him grow to a slightly higher size than a regular human, after the well was deactivated, Teddy lost his sentience and came back to his regular size.
  • Jörmungandr - Called by Odin himself as "The Great Serpent" which will rise up one day on the Ragnarok.
  • The World Turtle - The World Turtle supposedly is a gigantic mythical turtle from the chinese pantheon that holds the world on its back, supposing that by "the world" Odin and Zao Shen meant the planet Earth, the turtle would have to be bigger than the planet, which has around 12,742 kilometers of diameter, if by "the world" Odin and Zao Shen meant the Universe, the turtle would be at the very least about 93 billion light-years tall/long which is the size of the observable universe (for reference, one light-year is about 9.46 quadrillions kilometers). If it really exists or ever existed, it would be by far the biggest/largest character in the whole Supernatural franchise.
  • The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
    • Death - Lucifer gazed up in awe at Death's massive stature as he ascended from his coffin.
  • Living House (non-canon) - Being a sentient large house, it had at least 3 floors and apparently and attic, it even took decades for termites purposefully put there to finish eating that house.
  • Howard's Giant Octopus - Howard used the drawing of a child's biggest fear (a giant octopus) in a voodoo ritual in order to summon the octopus into existence and make it kill that child's father, the father appeared to have been killed by a "30-foot giant pacific octopus with vampire teeth".
  • Howard's Giant Robot - Howard was about to use Tyler's drawing of his biggest fear in a voodoo ritual which would summon a giant robot with laser beams into existence, Dean Winchester is able to rip the drawning in half screaming "no drawning, no iron giant!" before Howard could perform the ritual.
  • Krakens - Although never actually seen in the show, a drawing of a kraken on Tara's notes shows that they have a big physique.
  • Golems - Since they were made for hand-to-hand combat/battles, golems usually have a very bulky physique and a huge build, they are also very heavy, as every step it took creates an audible thudding sound from where it stood. It is far larger than even tall full-grown men, such as Sam Winchester, they are usually around 3 meters tall, their elevated height and mass makes them very strong and resistance.
  • The Darkness - In her true smoke-like form, the Darkness blanketed multiple fields and forests due to her height and length.
  • Giant - A colossal-sized, unidentified creature from the Bad Place.
  • Cthulhu - According to H.P. Lovecraft's research, Cthulhu is an massive ancient entity with tentacles from Purgatory.
